The Kubotan is the registered trademark of its creator, Takayuki Kubota. It was initially meant as a means for law enforcement officials to subdue their suspects non-lethally, and without permanent injury. He first brought the weapon to the awareness of the LA police when he trained the department’s female officers in its use and application. It’s been called “The Persuader” and is hailed as an instrument of attitude adjustments.
The key chain yawara is about the scale of a marker pen, about five and a half inches long and slightly over a half-inch in diameter. It’s not too heavy to carry, indeed its size and the 6 grooves that line its shaft are good for gripping. It is made of hard, heavy impact plastic. Attached to one end is a screw eye with a split ring on which to hold a set of keys.

If feasible, try to hit as many of these spots as feasible to exhaust the assailant and hinder him from following you.
