Find The Perfect Flower Girl Or Ring Bearer Outfit For Any Type Of Wedding Ceremony

Dressing the little ones in your wedding can be very fun. No one can resist the charm of the ring bearer and flower girl! The place you are having your wedding ceremony will help determine what kind of outfits will be most suitable. Learn how to match your ring bearer and flower girl outfits to your wedding.

If your wedding will be on the formal side, look for a classic satin frock for your flower girl. Formal for a young girl means a dress that hits a little above the ankle, not floor length. Typically the flower girl’s dress is either the same shade as the wedding dress or the bridesmaid dresses. Look for a dress with embellishments like embroidery for an extra flourish. A petite pair of crystal heart earrings would be very sweet with a satin dress. Classic black patent leather shoes are the perfect footwear. For the ring bearer at a formal wedding, a little tuxedo could be very cute. If the groom is wearing a straight tie with his tuxedo, the ring bearer should too. Tuxes are a bit much on the youngest boys; a shantung sailor suit would be the appropriate alternative. Sailor suits can be ordered in any color you like.

Garden weddings are very popular, and there are many great choices for flower girl dresses. A shantung dress with a wide sash in a contrasting color is fantastic for autumn. You can custom order dresses made in your favorite color duo. Choose a dress with a nice wide sash to make it extra adorable. An organdy version of this frock will suit a summery outdoor ceremony. Pretty pink crystal heart earrings will be the perfect accessory, along with ballet slippers for her feet. A classic Eton suit (with short pants!) is the traditional ring bearer outfit to accompany this style of flower girl dress. Some people just don’t like the traditional outfit and opt for a jacket and nice pants instead.

For tropical ceremonies, the attire should be lightweight and washable (in case the kids end up in the water!). Nothing could be cuter than a seersucker shift dress on the little girl. Either classic pale blue or pink seersucker stripes will look fantastic. A pair of monogrammed Stephen Bonnano sandals will be the ideal matching shoes. The flower girl can carry a floral pomander studded with starfish and shells!). And just think about how great seersucker shorts will look on the little boy. He can wear a nice pair of Sperrys on his feet. A ring pillow decorated with a starfish motif would be a great detail.

Laid back wedding ceremonies are quite common. A simple cotton summer dress will be terrific for the flower girl. For very relaxed weddings, it looks better if the flower girl’s dress is not in the matching color to the bridesmaids. Think about how sweet the flower girl will look in a smocked coral sundress that ties into bows on the shoulders. Tan shorts and a short sleeve button down are the right type of attire for the ring bearer at this style of wedding. Or the flower girl could wear a printed sundress from Lilly Pulitzer and the little boy a pair of shorts to match along with a solid colored shirt. You will have lots of great options for an informal wedding.

If you are planning a December wedding ceremony, it calls for extra special attire. A Stewart tartan taffeta dress for the flower girl and a coordinating suit for your ring bearer will look very seasonal. With such festive attire, your youngest attendants are sure to add a lot of charm to your wedding ceremony!
